But after asking the players most felt that having it closer to Vegas would increase the size of the field, increase the prize money, and lessen expenses. The present economy has much to do with it.
Our goal is to build the field back up and return to Lake Havasu next year and all future years. This is where the tournment belongs.. |

PRIMM VALLEY RESORT
FOR THE 1ST TIME SINCE THE INCEPTION OF RAY'S TOURNAMENT, IT WILL NOT BE HELD IN LAKE HAVASU. FOR MANY OF YOU WHO LOOK FORWARD TO TRAVELING TO HAVASU EVERY SPRING, I KNOW THIS IS DISAPPOINTING. FIRST OBAMACARE AND NOW THIS. (BUT AFTER ASKING THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES MOST FELT THAT HAVING IT CLOSER WOULD INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE FIELD , THE PRIZE MONEY, AND LESSEN EXPENSES THE PRESENT ECONOMY HAS MUCH TO DO WITH IT.
OUR GOAL IS TO BUILD THE FIELD BACK UP AND RETURN TO LAKE HAVASU NEXT YEAR AND ALL FUTURE YEARS. THIS IS WHERE THE TOURNAMENT BELONGS.

SUNDAY May 9 th – 11Am – practice pot –individual net -LAKES G.C.
MONDAY - LAKES May 10th- 8am shotgun – modified chapman *(50% of total team hcp)
* each player hits a tee shot, players then hit each other's tee shot, then alternate from there. You NEVER hit the same ball twice in succession
TUESDAY-DESERT G.C. May 11 th -8am shotgun –
best-ball (90% hcps) best net score on each hole .LOW 10 NET AND LOW 10 GROSS SCORES QUALIFY FOR DERBY !
6 hole derby- 2man alternate shots
WEDNESDAY -DESERT G.C. May 12 h - 8am shotgun- net aggregate (full hcp)
